WESTERN CANADIAN PREMIERE -Toronto Dance Theatre’s Artistic Director Christopher House performs an adaptation of post-modern iconoclast Deborah Hay’s two solo works At Once and News. House re-interprets her unique vision with this ‘coy and defiant’ work (Bellflopmag.com), which earned him a Dora nomination for Outstanding Performance and sold out its run in Toronto in 2013.

Christopher House is a choreographer, performer, director, teacher and writer. Born and raised in St. John’s, Newfoundland, he joined Toronto Dance Theatre in 1979 and became Artistic Director in 1994. He has contributed over fifty works to the TDT repertoire, most recently Eleven Accords (2013), fulfilled commissions for many other companies and individuals, directed two collaborations with The Hidden Cameras, and made several short films and videos. He has toured across Canada and the USA and to major centres in Europe and Asia. He currently performs in his own works and in those of Deborah Hay, Ame Henderson and Jordan Tannahill.
