A crew of young dancers will elevate the art of “Getting to the Other Side”. On each weekend day throughout the festival, crosswalks in various Vancouver locations will turn into stages for 15 minutes at a time, as dancers bring choreography to the streets. The aim is to increase the number of people who see contemporary dance during this annual summer event, while challenging dance artists to turn a daily act into an elevated art. Rather than walk, why not dance to get to the other side?
