PRAISE FOR FAMILY DINNER:

Family Dinner was a rare and surprising invention that delighted the senses! A provocative and evolving space that questions the borders of the theatrical, conceptual and everyday. Bravo to the brilliant performers whose skills as dance artists were being realized in new and unusual ways! A must for the curious. ”  – Emily Molnar, Artistic Director, Ballet BC

“Family Dinner is perhaps the most innovative, joyful, and provocative dance experience I have ever had! And I got to eat really good food too! Justine A Chambers has orchestrated an entirely unique event where one is welcomed, challenged, engaged, and thoroughly entertained. As audience we are not at all separated from ‘the dance’ but implicated in it. The details of ourselves, our habits, social structure, and peculiarities are delightfully and gently revealed. The performers charm and question, are vulnerable and entirely comfortable all at once. The night I was privilege to attend The Family Dinner the laughter flowed with the wine and one guest got so excited that she playfully tossed a glass across the table to be caught effortlessly by one of the performers.
This is an experience not to be missed!!!” – Tara Cheyenne Friedenberg (Host Dusk Dances, Artistic Director Tara Cheyenne Performance)
