She has been shaped by her experiences of co-founding and co-directing three female-led collectives, all with different missions/mandates (2002-2017), her ten years as an arts administrator for Toronto-based organization Series 8:08, her decades-long regimen of near-daily physical training and her passionate dance teaching practice, which began in 1997 and sees her now in her 10th season as Associate Director of Modus Operandi. She has been particularly influenced by her work as a dancer with Company 605, Justine A. Chambers, Matjash Mrozewski, Tara Cheyenne Performance, Kate Alton, Valerie Calam/Company Vice Versa and Jeanette Kotowich/Movement Healing. She finds it very rewarding to work for choreographers who are her current or past students (Oh Augustine, Satya Mari, Jamie Robinson and Avery Smith).
