Prairie

Prairie is a 20 minute quartet that draws its fluid movement language and animalistic character from the spatial qualities, the musics, and the consciousness and expressiveness of embodiment in the prairie landscape.  Prairie begins by inviting the audience into a sensual world through the gestural invocations of a solo dancer and resolves in a final image of this character’s acknowledged revitalization through the group adventure of complete immersion.  Prairie is the first of four works that will comprise The Land Quartet
