Opportunity:
The Dancing on the Edge Festival Society Board is looking for new Members, with a particular focus on candidates with expertise in the areas of Business and Financial Management; Fundraising; Community Development ; IT (Information Technologies); Marketing; and Tourism. We are looking for dynamic and engaged individuals who have a passion for the contemporary arts and a commitment to their community. The ideal candidates would have a background in one of the fields listed above, however we are interested in diverse candidates with a desire to apply their knowledge to supporting and governing an organization. They would also have a keen interest in the non-profit arts community and contemporary dance.
Members of the Board of Directors take part in:
- Bi-Monthly meetings to focus on strategic planning; sub-committee reports; and building
the profile and capacity of the organization - Fundraising
- Annual General Meetings
- Attendance at the Festival & participation in events as needed
